Doushan town lies in the southeast of Taishan city , covering a total area of 121.25 square kilometres .The population is 57,500, and there are more than 80,000 overseas Chinese and HongKong and Macao compatriots .There are 19 village committee meetings and 1 neighbourhood committee.
  This town's geographical position is superior , and water and land communication is convenient. It is the traffic communication centre in Taishan City . Taichi highway , Xintai expressway and Guangdong west coastal expressway converge inside the town. It is 15 minutes’drive to Taishan city proper , and 20 minutes' drive to Taishan electric power plant and the Yutang port .The infrastructure is increasingly perfect ,and the investment environment constantly optimizes . In recent years, the town has spent the funds on environment constructions,has built the standard highway,a multi-function culture square. Therefore it has already turned into a new-type cities with multiple function and beautiful environment, and has kept the title of" advanced hygiene town in the province of Guangdong" for years .The town area quickly extends from 0.45 square kilometers to 2.85 square kilometers.It has the modernization correspondence network .There are one transformer substation for 110,000 KV and one for 220,000 KV ,and 6 reservoirs storing water of 3,600,000 m3, so the electricity and water supply is ample.
