Da Long Dong reservoir is located in the upper reaches of Da Long Dong River at Duanfen town.It is about 40 kilometers away from Taicheng town. This reservoir was completed in 1959 . There are 150,000 mu for irrigating in the reservoir, and 250,000 mu for preventing flood.In Guangdong Province, it is a famous large-scale reservoir that relies mainly on irrigating, and concurrently preventing flood, generating electricity and keeping fish.
  The main dam of the reservoir is 508 meters long and 36 meters high.It looks like an enormous gate tower standing before people,extremely grand.Besides main dam, there are the vice- dam ,the spillway, and the drainage pipe.The main and branch canal are altogether more than 100 kilometers long.In the reservoir area,there are 138 islands with green trees.
